Roger Arnholt, Chairman of the Board stated “The Manatee Habitat Board is excited to welcome Bernie Quinn as the next President/CEO. His long history of involvement with community organizations and developing responses to address community issues fits well with our mission to expand our response to the ever-growing need for affordable, sustainable housing in our community. He is a proven leader, able to connect passion with purpose with staff, volunteers and community partners.”

After graduating from the University Valley Forge with a B.S. in Theology, Mr. Quinn went on to achieve his M.A. in Psychology. He then led the Grace Community Church in Rochester, NH for nineteen years. Mr. Quinn also brings to Manatee Habitat his knowledge of the Habitat for Humanity principals having been the Development Director of Strategic Partnerships for Habitat in Lee and Hendry Counties. His vast leadership experience along with his heart for the Habitat for Humanity mission will serve the organization well. Manatee Habitat is looking forward to his joining and leading our team starting April 25, 2022.

Bernie stated “I am honored to work alongside the dedicated staff, volunteers, and donors of Manatee County Habitat for Humanity during this crucial time of need for decent and affordable housing. Together we will continue the excellent work of Habitat for Humanity, “building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter” for hard-working families here in Manatee County.”  He is further looking forward to spending time with family enjoying the wonderful outdoor activities Manatee County has to offer.
