On Tuesday, Dec. 10th, 2025, we proudly celebrated one of our most dedicated volunteers, Jacob Stone, as he accepted the SRQ Good Hero Philanthropic Award for Nonprofit Volunteer!

Jacob spends 2–3 days each week on our construction site, specializing in flooring but always ready to lend a hand with roofing or whatever the build needs. Beyond the job site, he’s a true cornerstone of our organization, supporting administrative projects, contributing to our 30th Anniversary Celebration, and even helping secure sponsorships.
When the Crew Leader position opened, Jacob stepped up without hesitation, continuing to mentor fellow volunteers and share his trade skills with patience and heart. We’re so grateful for Jacob’s dedication, leadership, and generosity. Congratulations, Jacob!
