Thanks to the hard work of our incredible volunteers, we’ve made significant progress on the exteriors of the houses at Poling Gardens! Now, we need your help to finish the interiors of the remaining homes. This work requires special skills, and we’re reaching out to our community to get the job done.
Here’s where we need your expertise:
- Electrical Work: Installing ceiling fans and ceiling/wall lights.
- Carpentry: Installing split/jam doors, baseboards, and other trim work.
- Painting: Touch-up painting to give the final touches.
- Appliance Installation: Installing and connecting washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges, and microwaves.
- Hardware Installation: Hanging blinds, installing bathroom and door hardware.
As you can see, we have a wide range of tasks that need to be completed, and your skills can make a huge difference! If you’d like to learn new skills, we can provide training. Otherwise, please spread the word among your family, friends, church members, community organizations, and anyone else you know who might be interested in these volunteer opportunities.
