Manatee Habitat has had the good fortune to to work with many of the local faith groups over the past 25 years. This is the first time we have had the honor of working with all the faith groups together on one project! Faith United Church of Christ, Our Lady of the Angels Knights of Columbus, Palma Sola Presbyterian Church, Peace Presbyterian Church, St Joseph Catholic Church, Trinity Lutheran Church of Bradenton, Temple Beth ‘El Men’s Group/Sisterhood, Harvest Methodist Church, St. Armands’s Key Lutheran Church, St. Mary’s Eposcopal Church, The Islamic Society of Sarasota & Bradenton,Episcopal Church of the Annunciation, Emmanuel United Methodist Church have all help in numerous ways to bring this home to completion!
Our Interfaith build will become Markisha and her family’s home once it is completed. Markisha, like all Manatee Habitat future homeowners will complete between 300 and 500 hundred volunteer hours on hers and other Manatee Habitat homes. She also has taken a financial responsibility course and worked to make sure she has a clean credit history. After these tasks are completed she became eligible to purchase her chosen Manatee Habitat Home with a 0% interest loan!
