At Manatee County Habitat for Humanity, we believe that everyone deserves a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home. That’s why we’re excited to share that Bank OZK has generously donated $5,000 to support our Advancing Black Homeownership (ABH) Initiative—a vital program designed to increase homeownership opportunities for Black families in our community.

A core goal of the ABH Initiative is to educate 100 Black families through free financial literacy courses. While these classes are open to anyone in the community, our outreach will be focused on raising awareness within the Black community to help close longstanding gaps in homeownership and financial education.

Whether you are a current or future Habitat homeowner or someone planning to purchase a home through traditional means, these courses are designed to build financial understanding, improve credit, and support informed decision-making on the path to long-term homeownership.

This recent donation from Bank OZK is just the latest example of their continued commitment to housing and financial empowerment. Since 2018, Bank OZK has partnered with us to invest in long-term housing solutions. Over the past two years alone, they have sponsored two full Habitat homes through Florida’s Community Contribution Tax Credit Program (CCTCP)—and they’ve committed to sponsoring another home this year! Their total contributions to date exceed $245,000, making them one of our most impactful corporate partners.

Beyond their financial support, Bank OZK also extends their expertise by offering financial literacy classes to many of our future Habitat homeowners, helping them build the knowledge and confidence needed to successfully manage their finances and maintain long-term homeownership.

We are incredibly grateful for Bank OZK’s continued partnership and shared belief in the power of education and homeownership to transform lives.
