| The Community Foundation of Sarasota County’s 2020 Giving Challenge, with individual donations matched between $25 and $100 by the Patterson Foundation broke all records! $18,400,000 was raised by 59,000 donors for 687 local non-profit organizations! We here at Manatee Habitat partnered with a local non-profit Veteran organization, Our Next Mission-Lakewood Ranch to raise funds for our Veteran Critical Home Repair Program. Like in years past, we set our goal at $30,000 including the matched funds from the Patterson Foundation. It turned out 2020 was a record-breaking year for us too, as together we raised over $54,000! Every critical home repair is unique so it is difficult to say exactly how many Veteran Critical Home Repairs can be done with the funds raised but one thing is for sure! With the labor done by volunteers from Our Next Mission-Lakewood Ranch and Habitat for Humanity, the costs are kept to an absolute minimum and we can promise you that we get as much bang for your buck as possible! |
