Volunteer in Manatee County

Help Build Homes, Communities, and Hope

At Manatee Habitat, volunteers are the foundation of our mission to build safe, affordable homes and strengthen neighborhoods in Manatee County. Whether you’re a local resident, a student, a retiree, or part of a corporate or community group, we welcome you to join us in creating brighter futures for families right here in our community.
No construction experience? No problem! Our experienced staff and trained crew leaders will guide you every step of the way—whether you’re swinging a hammer, painting, landscaping, or helping with project cleanup.
We also have non-construction volunteer opportunities at our Manatee Habitat ReStore, where sales help fund our mission, and in our administrative office, where you can support essential behind-the-scenes work.

Our Volunteer Opportunities

Construction Volunteers

Every wall you raise and nail you drive helps create a stronger, more hopeful community. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or holding a hammer for the first time. If you’re ready to get hands-on and make a visible impact, the build site is the place for you.

ReStore Volunteers

If you enjoy a fast-paced retail setting, organizing donations, or assisting customers, volunteering at the ReStore is a great fit. Every hour you give helps generate funds that directly support local families in need of safe, stable housing.

Find Your Place

We have many volunteer opportunities to fit your passion and strength beyond construction and the ReStore. Whether you love event planning, marketing, office support, or community outreach, there’s a meaningful way for you to get involved.

New Volunteer

Thank you for your interest! All new volunteers must attend a one-hour Volunteer Orientation before signing up for shifts. Held twice a month, these sessions provide essential information and training to ensure you start your volunteer journey safely and confidently.

Returning Volunteer

Welcome back! Log in to your Manatee Habitat for Humanity volunteer portal to explore upcoming volunteer opportunities in Manatee County, track your service hours, and manage your schedule with ease.

Court Appointed Volunteer

We accept a limited number of court-ordered community service volunteers at our ReStore. All court-appointed volunteers must email us directly before being approved to participate in any volunteer opportunities.

Week Day Warrior Volunteers

Our Week Day Warrior Volunteers are the backbone of our construction efforts. These dedicated individuals contribute 40 hours or more each year, often working on weekdays to keep our projects moving forward. Their commitment ensures that we can consistently pursue our mission of building homes, communities, and hope. Below is a list of our incredible Week Day Warriors from the past year. We extend our deepest gratitude to each of you for your hard work and dedication. Thank you for being an essential part of our Habitat family!
