Why shop at Habitat for Humanity?

Proceeds from the store go directly towards helping Manatee County Habitat for Humanity build and preserve homes right here in Manatee County for families in need of a hand up, not a handout. And, it helps the environment. Shopping at the ReStore reduces the amount of useable items being thrown into our already overloaded landfills. And that’s good for everyone. Our selection is changing regularly as new items are donated and purchases are made. If you miss a day at the ReStore, you miss a great deal!

Habitat ReStore FAQs

Is ReStore open to the public?

Yes! Anyone and everyone should shop and donate at the Habitat ReStore on SR-70.

Where do proceeds from the sales go?

All of the proceeds go directly to Manatee County Habitat for Humanity and help build homes for families in need.

How are the items priced?

All items are priced at or more than 50% off of the retail value. We do extensive research to make sure the prices are low but fair so that the proceeds can go towards building safe and stable housing for those who need it.

Does the Restore accept personal checks?

No. The store gladly accepts cash, ReStore gift cards, most major credit cards, and debit cards, but no checks.

Can I return an item I bought?

All sales are final. However, non-working appliances can be exchanged or receive store credit within 30 days as long as you have your receipt. Non-working electronics can be exchanged within 48 hours for store credit.

I found an item I like but it’s too big to take home today. Can I still buy it?

If it won’t fit in your car, you will be given a sold tag to place on the item and have 48 hours to pick it. If you need delivery please check with a sales associate and they will direct you to the right person, Habitat does not deliver but we have several people in place that will.

What does the tag mean when it says “resale”

These are new items we purchase to sell and priced about ½ of retail

Do you have sales in the store?

With 50% off merchandise, every day is a sale at the ReStore! Look for the colored dots on furniture throughout the store – when merchandise has been with us for a period of time, we mark them down.

Do you have a senior discount?

Yes! The first Monday of every month is Seniors Day, where seniors save an additional 25% off their purchase. The last Monday of every month is Veterans day, where veterans save an additional 25% off. Please note the savings do not apply to “resale” items.

Do you have coupons?
