After being born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland, Dean moved across the country to attend UCLA, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2017. That same year, he premiered a short film at the Cannes International Film Festival, marking an early milestone in his pursuit of a career in film production. He began his professional journey in the Hollywood production industry, where he spent several years advancing to the role of Production Coordinator on independent films.
Dean later transitioned into large-scale live event production, contributing to major music festivals such as Coachella in Indio, California, and Firefly in Dover, Delaware. During this time, he earned his OSHA certification, supporting safe and efficient stage construction and event operations.
In 2023, Dean relocated to Florida, seeking a more meaningful and community-centered career path. He joined Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County as an apprentice, where he discovered that his background in production management translated seamlessly into construction operations. This experience allowed him to build a strong foundation in construction while contributing to a mission-driven organization.
In 2025, Dean moved to Sarasota and chose to continue his work within the Habitat for Humanity network, recognizing the unique fulfillment it provides. Today, he is proud to serve with Manatee Habitat, where he combines his professional skills with a passion for service—helping to build not only homes, but stronger communities.
