Manatee Habitat plays a critical role in housing policy reform to benefit families and individuals all across Manatee County. Working with our supportive advocates and partners at the local, state and federal level, we advocate for housing policies that drive Habitat’s mission of building and preserving our hard-working communities. Use your voice to join in our efforts to build and preserve a more equitable world.
What is Housing Affordability?
Families across the United States are paying too high a price to cover the cost of home. Rents and homeownership costs are skyrocketing while wages are not keeping pace. At Habitat, we believe that everyone should have enough money left over after paying rent or mortgage costs to cover life’s necessities.
Cost of Home
Through our Cost of Home Campaign, we are mobilizing local organizations, partners, volunteers and community members to find solutions and to help create policies that will allow 10 million individuals to have access to affordable homes.
Help us make the #CostOfHome something we all can afford.
