What is ReStore Spaces?
ReStore Spaces is designed to showcase Manatee Habitat ReStores and to build awareness of what Habitat has to offer in our ReStores that raises money for affordable housing in Manatee County. Teams create rooms utilizing donated items, which are then refurbished and repurposed, from the Habitat ReStore. The rooms highlight the endless possibilities that the ReStore has to offer.

What are Manatee Habitat ReStores?
Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price.

What happens at the Reveal Party?
Tickets are $50 each and include unlimited food, beer and wine, a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. You also can cast your vote for your favorite room PLUS the opportunity to purchase any item in the rooms! Team Awards will be presented in three categories: Community Choice – the winner of the online voting; People’s Choice – the winner of the most votes by people attending the event; the Golden Hammer Award – winners determined by select judges; Best Pallet Awards – given to the team that uses a wood pallet in the most creative way; ReStore Choice – awarded to the room that has the most repurposed items in it; Most Colorful; and Best Use of Theme.

How can my team participate?
If you would like to showcase your ingenuity and creativity to reinvent thrift store items into chic originals and help raise money for Manatee Habitat to build affordable housing all you have to do is fill out an application. Applications will be available soon at the ReStores and online at www.manateehabitat.org. Applications will be reviewed by the ReStore Spaces committee and teams notified.
