Home Repair Program

This program targets two areas of home maintenance that threaten the security, safety and health of the home. Homeowners willing to partner with Manatee Habitat can achieve the necessary repairs to remain safely in their home.

Home Preservation

Exterior work that includes:

  • Painting, patching, minor repair
  • Replacement of exterior building materials
  • Yard Cleanup and Maintenance

Critical Home Repair

Extensive interior or exterior work performed to address health and safety issues or code violations.

  • Kitchen and Bathroom Repairs
  • Wheelchair Ramps and Handicap Rails
  • Roof Repair or Replacement
  • Exterior Door Installation
  • Window Repair or Replacement
  • Interior Modifications for Handicap Accessibility

Basic Qualifications

  • Manatee County Resident
  • Owner Occupied Home
  • Meet Income Guidelines

Homeowner Must Demonstrate

  • Need for Repairs
  • Willingness to Partner with Manatee Habitat
  • Ability to Pay for Repairs

Homeowner Partnership Requirements

  • Sweat Equity Commitment
  • Financial Partnership
