We are again partnering with the Manatee County Faith Community to build a new green home designated for a deserving family to purchase.

Over the years we’ve built homes with groups of Presbyterian, Lutheran and Methodist churches.  Most recently we brought together many denominations from Manatee County for our first Interfaith Build home which was purchased by Markisha Harris; single mom to three children. We believe this was a great way to showcase the role of our faith communities and we hope you will prayerfully consider joining us in this build in a way that is meaningful to your congregation.  Financial contributions will enable us to purchase the necessary materials and volunteer support of all kinds will help us complete the task of providing an opportunity for affordable home ownership.

We are excited to introduce Yvette and Jose Vazquez, our Faith Build Family for 2021. Yvette’s world revolves around her son Jose when she isn’t working for Manatee County Rural Health as a private duty home health aide. Yvette is a single mom who started working at the age of 12 helping her mother who always made sure there was food on the table and a roof over their heads. Yvette brings this same strength and determination, to caring for her own son Jose, who is wheelchair bound with Cerebral Palsy. Yvette says “Providing him with a stable home so he doesn’t have to worry is very important to me. Jose is my world and he’s my reason to keep moving forward. God says he doesn’t give us more than we can handle, so everyday I’m grateful to wake up and look forward to seeing my son smile.”
