First Time Home Buyers!

Mark met Belkin through mutual friends in 2018. Being from different countries didn’t stop them from communicating.  Google translate on their phones solved the language barrier and it wasn’t long before they fell in love and got married! They are teaching each other their native languages and look forward to being fluent in two languages.

They have a son (Angel) who is the light of their lives. Mark would like to go back to school to get his degree in business management. Long term plan is to start their own business too. Belkin relocated to the United States to be closer to her family and with the hope to build a better future. Now they both have made a huge step toward building that better life for themselves and their adorable son!

Having a Habitat home means a better life for Mark and Belkin and their family that includes more stability. While completing the 300 volunteer hours they were staying with family. Mark says working with Habitat volunteers has been an excellent and rewarding learning experience. He also admires the huge efforts made by the Habitat volunteers and he plans on continuing to volunteer even though they are now homeowners.
